The Eaglesfield Eight at The Mane Event

Cold, "spring" weather . . . even with a dusting of snow, didn't hold us down this past weekend.  We enjoyed meeting so many people, sharing our draft horse passion, and demonstrating the teamwork amongst these horses. 

We thank everyone for their hospitality and interest in what we do.

It has been an Eaglesfield "All Hands On Deck" moment at the Mane Event in Red Deer . . . and the young hands are fast and furious!  We thank all the wonderful horse lovers who have stopped by Barn E to visit with us today and look forward to our demonstrations.

The Mane Event in Red Deer, Alberta with Eaglesfield Percherons

The Mane Event in Red Deer, Alberta - April 25-27, 2014

It's been a while since the National Western Stock Show in Denver, and we cannot wait until next weekend to celebrate spring and get off the farm again with some horses!  Eaglesfield Percherons is going to be a part of the second decade kickoff of The Mane Event at Westerner Park in Red Deer, Alberta. 

This three-day event has grown in popularity -- last year topping off with over 23,000 spectators, participants, attendees and shoppers that arrived to live and breathe "Equine."

Eaglesfield Percherons is pleased to be a part of this event by taking part in their "Equine Experience" exhibition and breed demonstrations.  Since there is an overwhelming demand for seating, they have added shows on Friday to their regularly scheduled Saturday shows.  They also have implemented reserved seating so no one has to camp out to get good seats in the Morand Arena. 

Some of North America's top clinicians from a variety of disciplines will be in attendance.  Three top trainers will be putting their skills to the test against quality colts from Ace of Clubs Quarter Horses, and much more. 

Thank goodness we will have horses to keep us busy (and me from shopping!) as this is the largest indoor equine trade shows in Canada.   Click HERE to see the list of vendors and associations that will be represented.
